		<description>Brad,

Have you tried Jott - jott.com. It is free and fast. It would not give you info on the bottle you were looking at, but you could look it up later. I use Jott all the time and using it for wine would be really simple.

Just a thought.

<description>Hi David, I suspect i&#039;m even more of a wine noob than you are. i can&#039;t even remember recommendations that friends give me, i always let other people order at restaurants, and i drink mostly wines at home that were gifts. that said, i like wine quite a bit and always wish i knew more.

the thing i do know is whether i like a wine when i drink it.

so, in response to your post, while i can appreciate the value of a good recommendation, for me the problem to solve is how i remember wines that i drink that i like.

for instance, i&#039;m at a restaurant and someone orders a wonderful bottle of wine. sometimes i&#039;m ambitious enough to write it down in my blackberry. usually not. if there were a mobile tool that let me remember what i drank, and do it super fast and inconspicuously, that would be hella neat. but i&#039;m not talking about a little notepad application. i mean something that could identify the wine, tell me a bit about it, and let me order it later.

seems like there could be some money in that?

thoughts?
